About the Job
Central Health Management, a Virginia-based healthcare recruitment firm, is seeking a board-certified physician for a locum tenens assignment in a post-acute care setting. The estimated annual salary for this position is $200,000-$250,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

This opportunity involves temporarily providing coverage for direct patient care in one or more skilled nursing, assisted living, and/or short-term rehabilitation centers. As a locum tenens physician, you will be responsible for evaluating and admitting new patients, rounding and assessing existing patients, developing and amending treatment plans based on patient changes, prescribing medications, ordering labs and tests, communicating with other medical staff, charting patient progress, certifying and recertifying patients for extended stays, and developing discharge plans.

Required Qualifications
  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Active and unencumbered medical license to practice in the state
  • Active and unencumbered DEA license to prescribe in the state
  • Excellent bedside manner, communication, collaboration, and empathy skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a credentialing process
