About the Role

We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to join our team at KIPP Columbus. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and challenging lessons to our students, and for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of all learners, using provided curriculum resources and incorporating best practices in science education.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students, using data to inform instruction and drive student growth.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure student success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in science education and to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Current Ohio Teaching License or willingness and ability to pursue certification by start date.
  • 1 or more years of lead teaching experience, or has a degree in education.
  • Belief that outstanding school leaders, staff, and teachers can achieve excellent outcomes for all students.
  • Ability to persevere with a sense of optimism, strong problem-solving skills, and desire to learn and grow in a collaborative professional learning community.
