Job Description

At Stride, we're committed to providing an exceptional online education experience for students. As a High School Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting students and families in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a caseload of students, serving as the primary point of contact for non-instructional matters.
  • Monitor student participation and engage with students who are struggling, using tools like the GO Outreach Box to identify areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with students, Learning Coaches, and teachers to ensure a smooth and successful academic experience.
  • Provide proactive outreach to students at risk, using data-driven insights to inform your support.
  • Facilitate communication between students, Learning Coaches, and teachers, ensuring a strong sense of community and belonging.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to help students overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Requirements:
  • Two years of college and two years of experience in education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Customer service focus, with a commitment to providing exceptional support to students and families.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, with a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with the proposed age group, with a strong understanding of the online learning experience.
  • Ability to learn new technology tools quickly, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
