Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience and cultivating a sales-oriented culture within the Pet Care Center, guided by Petco's vision of "Healthier Pets. Happier People. Better World." This individual will exemplify the Selling Model and serve as a role model for all interactions with Petco guests.

The Retail Operations Supervisor will mentor and coach all Pet Care Center team members in the art of selling and engagement, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong business acumen to assess, analyze, and address business trends, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
  • Drive the execution of guest-focused initiatives, including nutrition standards, sales promotions, and services to surpass sales objectives.
  • Lead with an Omni Channel sales approach to meet guest needs effectively.
  • Support the Pet Care Center's operations, training, and communication of company initiatives and policies.
  • Process transactions efficiently to enhance the guest experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team that meets Petco's operational standards.
  • Ensure effective scheduling to maximize sales and guest engagement.
  • Foster a positive culture of teamwork and collaboration across all departments.
  • Maintain brand standards and inventory replenishment in partnership with the operations team.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework in business or management is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of management experience is required, with 3 years preferred. Proficiency in communication, organizational, and computer skills is essential.

This role involves continuous interaction with the public and requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and engaging environment for all.
