POSITION SUMMARY: The Firearms Sales Consultant is tasked with welcoming customers, facilitating sales, and ensuring successful transaction closures. This role requires in-depth training and a thorough understanding of the 4473 form.

With updated product knowledge and market insights, the consultant is expected to educate clients across various experience levels. Responsibilities include selling memberships, products, and range services.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Achieve Results:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to multiple clients.
    • Meet or surpass sales targets.
    • Comply with all federal and state laws during transactions.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Organize and manage inventory while prioritizing loss prevention.
  2. Operational Excellence:
    • Adhere to all billing and point-of-sale protocols.
    • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the sales floor and range.
    • Address safety concerns promptly.
    • Possess a comprehensive understanding of firearms and services offered.
    • Facilitate client access to the range within established guidelines.
  3. Relationships:
    • Foster collaborative relationships within the organization.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

Key Competencies:

  • Thorough understanding of ATF regulations regarding firearm sales and transfers.
  • Extensive knowledge of firearms.
  • Able to educate individuals with varying levels of firearm experience.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods on the sales floor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • EDUCATION: High school diploma preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in firearms retail or sales is advantageous.

Additional Information: All employees are expected to stay informed about product knowledge and market trends. Customer service remains a priority over other tasks. This job description outlines typical functions of the position but is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet organizational needs.

Salary: $14-$15 per hour
