A highly skilled Senior AFSIM Analyst is sought to join the Air Combat and Strike Mission Analysis Group at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in modeling and simulation to analyze complex problems and drive innovation.

Responsibilities will include developing, evaluating, and analyzing models and concepts of employment for advanced air platforms, strike weapons, and integrated multi-domain effects. You will collaborate with software development teams to improve customized tools, design efficient representations for large datasets, test accurate interactions across interdependent algorithms, and automate production analysis pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, with demonstrated excellence working with AFSIM performing modeling, simulation, and analysis. Strong scripting and programming skills are required, with proficiency in languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or JAVA. Experience in Air or Strike Warfare domains and ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date are also essential.

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $330,000 annually, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
