Job Summary

Pye Barker Fire and Safety LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Installation Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler System Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Testing: Install fire sprinkler systems, including pipes, valves, and fittings, ensuring precise alignment and secure connections.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair fire sprinkler system components, such as valves, pipes, and fittings, to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conduct routine inspections and tests on fire sprinkler systems to identify any issues or malfunctions and report findings to the onsite supervisor.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including installation details, repairs, inspections, and tests, to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate future maintenance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with experienced team members to ensure timely completion of projects, providing support and assistance as required.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and changes in fire sprinkler system technology and regulations to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Customer Interaction: Demonstrate a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, Coworkers, Subcontractors, and Customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in working with hand and power tools. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and maneuver self around construction job sites and climb ladders occasionally. Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy pipe daily lbs frequently and 50-75 lbs occasionally. Bending and squatting frequently and for long periods of time. Reaching and performing work above shoulder level frequently and for long periods of time. Ability to withstand occasional exposure to hot, cold, and/or inclement weather on job sites.
