Parts and Inventory Specialist

A highly skilled Parts and Inventory Specialist is required to manage the customer's internal parts identification numbering system and maintain all references in the point of sale system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer experience and be able to provide quality customer service.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires 24-hour availability and valid driver's license with two years driving experience. The successful candidate will assist with inventory control, data entry in inventory systems, and may occasionally provide customer service to MaineDOT employees who need parts/equipment to perform their job.
Responsibilities
* Provide quality customer service, including attention to detail and reviewing, familiarizing with and adhering to MANCON's SOPs and Safety Manual
* Meet and greet customers and determine and create the MaineDOT Part Identification Number (MPIN) in customer's M5 system and assign MPIN in the inventory system
* Coordinate and assist with all Regional locations to update and correct items numbers and MPIN in the inventory system and customer's M5 system
* Review and merge part numbers in customer's M5 system, ask appropriate questions to ensure correct MPINs are researched and provided, and answer questions regarding correct part number descriptions in inventory system and customer's M5 system
* Review supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)
Requirements
* 1 year computer experience, 24-hour availability, valid driver's license with two years driving experience, and 1 year experience with auto or heavy duty truck parts
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on location and experience. This includes benefits such as a competitive salary, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
