Job Title: Registered Nurse

At ACLD, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Residential Programs team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to our residents with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and supervising medical care for our residents. This includes providing oversight and training to direct care staff, reviewing assessments and logs, and ensuring all medical appointments and tests are completed as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized care plans for residents
  • Provide medical oversight and training to direct care staff
  • Review and analyze medical assessments and logs
  • Ensure all medical appointments, tests, and lab work are completed as required
  • Provide on-call phone coverage for emergency situations
  • Assist with the AMAP certification process for assigned clusters of homes

Requirements:

  • Current NYS RN license
  • General knowledge of medications and their interactions
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
