Key Responsibilities:
MV Transportation is in search of an Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Manager and General Manager in the daily oversight of service delivery, ensuring adherence to the policies set forth by the contracting agency and compliance with company protocols.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Dispatch area and supervising the bus control office and road operations, assisting in the oversight of operators under the guidance of the General Manager and Operations Manager.
This role involves ensuring the effective utilization of dispatch software and in-vehicle technology, collaborating continuously with the team to enhance service through proficient management of these essential tools.
The Operations Supervisor will review all logs and documentation from the bus control office, guarantee coverage for all Driver and Supervisor shifts, monitor ridership equipment availability, and ensure optimal daily operational performance and safety across all routes.
Additional Responsibilities:
Supervises Drivers and Dispatch personnel, conducting daily operational monitoring.
Evaluates staff schedules and daily manifests for operational efficiency and performance. Generates reports and compiles all necessary documentation, both current and historical, related to operational matters. Provides counseling and coaching to Drivers and Dispatchers as needed. Enforces the procedures and policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, Collective Bargaining Agreement, and local division protocols. Responds to client inquiries and collaborates with other division staff to ensure the attainment of division objectives.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a relevant supervisory role.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a Paratransit environment, along with expertise in scheduling, personnel management, policy enforcement, and training.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with contractual obligations is essential for effective job performance. Understanding of company policies ensures that the Operations Supervisor applies consistent measures to evaluate Driver activities.
Compensation:
$23.69/hour.
