Job Overview:

The Clinical Allergy Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the allergy center at United Allergy Services. This role includes conducting allergy assessments, educating patients about allergen immunotherapy, executing clinical procedures, and fostering professional relationships with healthcare providers and staff, all while delivering exceptional patient care to those suffering from allergies.

This position encompasses both clinical and administrative duties within a medical practice, operating under the guidance of a licensed physician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of allergens, the allergic reaction process, UAS clinical protocols, and the advantages of immunotherapy.
  • Guarantee the safe and effective administration of immunotherapy, including allergy testing and preparation of immunotherapy solutions.
  • Instruct patients on the proper administration of immunotherapy injections.
  • Monitor patient progress through timely follow-ups and ensure the collection of immunotherapy.
  • Complete necessary documentation, confirm insurance coverage, and manage patient appointments.
  • Oversee clinic inventory, and build strong relationships with healthcare providers and office personnel.
  • Handle billing documentation and strive to meet clinic productivity and revenue targets.
  • Address inquiries and concerns, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in health sciences or business is preferred.
  • At least two years of full-time equivalent experience in healthcare, customer service, or related fields.
  • Relevant nursing or medical technician certifications as required.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the local clinical area and work extended hours when necessary.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Workday, and SharePoint is a plus.
