Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to produce high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will work closely with our medical team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the advancement of diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and ultrasound results
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and training
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or become registered within one year of employment
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry required within six months of employment for sonographers with two or more years' experience, and within one year for sonographers with less than two years' experience
