Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team as a part-time remote instructor. As a Visually Impaired Education Specialist, you will provide virtual instruction and support to students who are visually impaired in a school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans and accommodations to meet students' needs
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to support students' learning goals
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to monitor students' progress
  • Provide training and support to students, teachers, and caregivers on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education with a focus on visual impairments
  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for students with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Reliable internet connection and technology for virtual instruction
