Position Summary

The Facilities Technician will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including electrical installations and repairs, as well as general maintenance tasks within a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set to perform repairs, installations, and modifications to facilities and grounds. Timely and professional execution of these tasks is essential to meet our organization's safety and quality standards.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive hourly rate ranging from $26 to $29, plus bonuses.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive paid time off, fully covered medical, life, and short-term disability insurance for employees, along with vision, dental, long-term disability insurance, and a 401k plan with employer matching up to 4%.
  • Work Schedule: Standard hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient operation of physical facilities through maintenance and repairs.
  • Install and modify building structures and grounds as needed.
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on light industrial equipment.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduits, as well as fabricating supports and installing cable and duct banks.
  • Pull wire through conduits and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Support the installation and repair of control and distribution electrical systems.
  • Work with both high and low voltage systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings and plans to determine the best procedures and tools for installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Perform additional facilities maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance is necessary.
  • Training and experience in basic electrical installation are essential.
  • Familiarity with power tools such as grinders, sanders, and drills is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with technical accuracy are a must.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, are required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A positive and professional customer service attitude is essential.
  • Analytical thinking skills are required.

Physical Requirements
