Job Title: Senior Substation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substation Engineer to join our Power Group. As a substation engineer, you will lead or support utility and power substation projects and clients. This role can be based in one of our offices in Marlton, NJ, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh PA, Roanoke VA, or St. Louis MO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop substation layout drawings, including plan and elevations, yard layouts, grounding, and control building layouts.
  • Design and develop substation one lines, three lines, Aux AC Power Systems, DC Power Systems, and SCADA and Communications Systems.
  • Prepare calculations and reports presenting the calculations to clients.
  • Develop equipment specifications for substation equipment, components, and construction.
  • Manage the technical, financial, and scheduling aspects of substation projects.
  • Act as a project manager, client manager, or capture/proposal manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Professional Engineer License or on the path to obtaining professional licensure.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in design, engineering, and project management within the power and utility industry.
  • Interest in or direct experience working in the consulting engineering profession.
  • Demonstrated ability with project management software and tools for scope, schedule, and budget management.
