Role Overview

As a Principal Consultant, you will oversee entire project workstreams and contribute to our business development efforts through project extensions and new client engagements. Your role will encompass three primary focus areas:

1) Project Execution
  • Independently mobilize, manage, and lead project teams to achieve optimal outcomes for clients in the Energy sector
  • Proactively cultivate stakeholder relationships within the client organization
  • Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies while managing multiple projects across diverse environments
  • Oversee project budgets and resource allocation for large-scale initiatives
2) Business Growth
  • Dedicate efforts to expanding our Energy sector business in North America
  • Lead initiatives to enhance brand visibility, nurture existing relationships, and broaden Q5's network
  • Develop insightful proposals and bids, including thought leadership contributions
3) Team Development
  • Mentor one or more Consultants or Senior Consultants, guiding their professional growth and managing performance discussions
  • Contribute to the Q5 ecosystem by spearheading new offerings, delivering training, and leading internal transformations
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in business transformation, particularly in organizational design and operating model projects, with a strong background in the Energy industry.

Key Qualifications
  • Over 10 years of experience in shaping and delivering projects within the Energy sector
  • Experience in an Energy business, particularly in Transformation or Strategy roles
  • Background in a leading consulting firm focusing on business transformation in the Energy sector
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, history, and key players
  • Experience in organizational design and transformation, addressing complex challenges for senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in a consulting environment or significant industry experience
  • Proven success in generating billable work and driving business development
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on creating compelling client deliverables
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
