Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Run whole project workstreams and contribute to our new business pipeline through project extensions or new client relationships.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships within the Q5 client.
  • Identify and/or execute mitigations to project risk, manage multiple projects, and bring experience of different project/client environments to help solve client problems.
  • Manage the commercials – budget and resources for large projects.
Business Development
  • Develop and grow our North American Energy sector business.
  • Lead brand awareness campaigns, develop and sustain current relationships/network, and build Q5's wider network.
  • Develop proposals and bids with expert insight (incl. thought leadership generation).
Practice Management
  • Mentor one or more of our Consultants or Senior Consultants, supporting their development and managing performance conversations with confidence and clarity.
  • Contribute to the Q5 ecosystem by leading the development of new offerings, delivering training, and leading internal transformation.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in business transformation, ideally with understanding/experience of organizational design and/or operating model projects.
  • Deep Energy industry knowledge and experience.
  • 10+ years' experience of shaping and delivering projects in the Energy industry, in either or both an Energy business or a leading consulting firm within their Energy practice.
  • Experience in organization design and/or transformation, supporting senior stakeholders to address complex organizational challenges.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading projects and teams in a similar consulting environment or significant demonstrable experience working in industry.
  • Proven track record in generating billable work and ability to drive business development, network generation, and proposal building.
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills, taking pride in developing compelling client deliverables and facilitating engaging workshops with complex and detailed subject matter.
  • Intellectual curiosity and drive: be able to learn as you go, and problem solve challenges you come across.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and mentor others and help to foster a learning mindset in other members of the team.
  • A Bachelor's degree or above (various disciplines welcome).
  • Availability to travel/base yourself in region (Houston).
