About the Role

As a Territory Sales Representative at Progressive Insurance, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with independent agencies in your assigned territory. Your primary goal will be to increase the utilization of Progressive's products and services among these agencies, thereby driving profitable growth within your territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with agents in your territory to discuss and promote Progressive's products and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase agency utilization of Progressive's products and services.
  • Manage the quality of the book of business and overcome objections to drive profitable growth.
  • Build strong relationships with agency owners and decision-makers to understand their goals and how Progressive's products can meet those needs.
  • Travel to and meet with all agencies within your territory, with occasional overnight travel required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years outside business-to-business sales experience or territory management experience.
  • OR Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years outside business-to-business sales experience or territory management experience.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Compliance with Progressive's driving standards and policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside business-to-business sales experience with a demonstrated ability to advocate, influence, and advance results and business outcomes.
  • Ability to manage work and weekly schedule independently and efficiently.
  • Prior experience in a field-based role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with a sales or customer relationship management tool (i.e., Salesforce).
Compensation and Benefits
  • $91,000-$111,000/year salary.
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
