Position Summary:
We are seeking an Energy Engineer to develop, implement, and manage energy efficiency and sustainability programs for our clients' facilities.
This role involves conducting energy audits, analyzing energy consumption, and designing energy-saving solutions for the built environment.
The Energy Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for reducing energy usage and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed onsite facility surveys to document energy-consuming systems, equipment, and operations.
- Analyze building energy consumption data to establish baselines and identify trends.
- Prepare comprehensive energy audit reports with recommendations for energy efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate with Client Services department to analyze equipment performance data.
- Communicate energy audit findings with Haynes team members and external clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management or a related field.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Assessment Professional (BEAP), or Energy Management Professional (EMP) designation is required.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software, data analysis tools, and building management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED Accreditation or other sustainability certifications.
- Experience with renewable energy systems.
- Knowledge of utility incentive programs and energy financing mechanisms.
