Accounting Specialist

Complete Business Accounting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional to join our financial team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting and bookkeeping services to our clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review accounting records, investigate issues, balance accounts, and reconcile according to agreed schedules with clients.
- Work closely with clients' controllers, Executive Directors, and staff in connection with agreed-upon engagements.
- Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and records to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing relevant financial data and insights.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
- Utilize technology to streamline processes and create efficiencies in partnership with clients.
- Coordinate with team members to support clients' needs and work on special projects.
- Provide consulting services in the areas of financial forecasting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow planning.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting with a proven record of managing financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- QuickBooks or QBO certification required.
- Xero Certified desired.
- Acumatica and/or Dynamic 365 desired.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, however, an equivalent level of training/experience will be considered.
- Ability to work with a book of several clients with varied needs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and client service skills.
- Technology savvy, including Microsoft Office, advanced knowledge of QuickBooks desktop/online, Xero, and/or similar tools.
- Aptitude and willingness to learn new technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
