Job Title: Nurse-LPN

Job Location: Schenectady-Park Place - Schenectady, NY

Position Type: Part Time-Benefited

Salary Range: $27.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage: Negligible

Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality medical care and services to a youth and adolescent population with emotional, behavioral, and physical needs. You will work closely with a Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals to ensure that medical treatment services meet the requirements of the regulating agency.

Responsibilities
  1. Complete nursing observations and report findings to the registered nurse.
  2. Review lab and test results, reporting critical values to RN and providers.
  3. Manage medications, including ordering and obtaining prior authorizations.
  4. Dispense medications as needed.
  5. Communicate with medical director/providers regarding observations in client's health/behavior.
  6. Provide client and family education regarding medications and treatments.
  7. Collaborate with staff regarding concerns and behaviors.
  8. Participate in Interdisciplinary Medication Review meetings.
  9. Nursing documentation using EHR.
  10. Update discharge planning needs.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice and based on agency needs.
Requirements and Education

LPN Licensed in New York State

1 to 2 years of experience

Experience working with youth and adolescent population desired
