Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse II

Ellis Medicine is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in patient assessment and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and IV solutions as prescribed by the registered nurse, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.
  • Monitor patient nutrition and fluid balance, providing emotional support and education to patients and families as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely, utilizing the hospital's electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with the registered nurse to revise care plans and ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program and current licensure in New York State or eligibility for a limited permit to practice.
  • Documentation of successful completion of pharmacology coursework, either through the basic program or other approved coursework.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physical Requirements:

The Licensed Practical Nurse II position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 35 pounds. The position also requires excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to use a keyboard, write, and file for extended periods.

Salary Range:

$ /hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
