Position Overview:
Join a dynamic team in a vibrant university town with a metropolitan population exceeding 900,000. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, ideal for a dedicated Pulmonology physician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inpatient duties for 7 days, complemented by 10 days of outpatient care monthly.
  • Manage two closed Intensive Care Units (ICUs) with the support of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Medical ICU features 32 beds, while the Cardiovascular ICU accommodates 16 beds.
  • Average daily patient load in the Medical ICU is 20-25, with 10 patients in the CVICU.
  • APPs will oversee some patient management under physician guidance.
  • Day shifts in the ICU run from 7 AM to 7 PM, with night call scheduled every other evening.
  • Light pulmonary consults outside of the ICU setting.
  • Admissions from the Emergency Department and patient rounds for ICU upgrades.
  • REACT Team responsible for code management outside of the ICU and in the ICU when Pulmonary Critical Care is unavailable.
  • Access to advanced procedures including Navigational Bronchoscopy and EBUS.
  • Collaborate with a team of 2 Intensivists and 4 Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians.
  • Clinic conveniently located near the hospitals, just a short drive away.
  • Standard clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no hospital call required during clinic weeks.
  • Utilize EPIC for both hospital and clinic electronic medical records.
