Key Responsibilities:
  • Design functional layouts for buildings and plants, ensuring robust foundations for specialized machinery.
  • Utilize SolidWorks and 2D CAD for the creation, design, and documentation of structural layouts and plant utilities.
  • Conduct project feasibility analyses and generate budgets, including project ROI assessments.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for bidding processes, negotiate pricing and delivery, review contracts, and award contracts to vendors.
  • Develop and maintain visual project schedules using MS Project.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of various subcontractors involved in plant and office construction projects.
  • Direct project crew members in the installation and assembly of designed structures.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met for all external contractor work related to building installations and utilities.
  • Modify, redesign, and repair existing structures as necessary.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of structural design and foundation requirements for heavy machinery.
  • Understand plant utilities, civil engineering principles, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the corporate resource for architectural and structural needs across multiple plants.

Design Compliance:

All designs undergo thorough analysis, validation, and due diligence to guarantee quality and prioritize the safety of personnel and plant operations.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mechanical designs using SolidWorks.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Structural Engineering.
  • Strong project management skills, backed by relevant education or experience.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with crane code manufacturing (CMAA).
  • Knowledge of permitting processes, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Proficient in reading structural blueprints and generating 2D CAD drawings.
  • Experience with SolidWorks for modeling parts, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Strong skills in MS Office, particularly MS Project.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
