Position Summary:
The On-Site Equipment Repair Specialist will be responsible for conducting maintenance and repair tasks at various client locations. This role encompasses a wide range of duties, from comprehensive machinery overhauls to minor fixes such as fluid changes and leak repairs. Additional responsibilities may involve rebuilding essential components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders, and pumps. Certain job sites may be equipped with testing apparatus for engine and hydraulic component evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose equipment issues and troubleshoot failures.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, including pressure and voltage checks, and identify sources of noise or vibration.
  • Disassemble machinery, procure necessary parts, execute repairs, reassemble equipment, and verify operational readiness.
  • Prepare components for assembly by cleaning and scraping gaskets.
  • Manage a company vehicle and travel regionally as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards.
  • Attend job sites and vendor training sessions as necessary.
  • Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a two-year technical degree or relevant military training is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the heavy equipment sector or a related field is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with basic mathematical abilities.
  • Proficient in computer usage, including Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturer-specific diagnostic software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of equipment operations, mechanical functions, and the integration of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs, and perform tasks involving stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Must successfully pass background checks, physical examinations, and drug screenings.
