Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at La-Z-Boy Incorporated. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading a high-performing sales team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve store sales goals and increase revenue.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager, Designer, and selling team to promote In-Home Design Sales program and drive store sales.
  • Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grass roots programs to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure a positive and exciting working environment for all store associates, fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize Company resources to keep associates up-to-date on product knowledge, selling skills, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead with the highest ethical standards and demand the same from your team, ensuring associates are provided the necessary tools to perform job responsibilities.
  • Coach and counsel team members based on results, including completing performance reviews.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of sales experience with a proven track record of success, preferably in a retail or furniture sales environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Initiative to meet assigned goals, missions, and objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
