Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Memphis Goodwill Incorporated. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, offering assistance with locating or selecting merchandise.
• Operate the Point of Sale system to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, prices, and information codes on merchandise.
• Clean and maintain the front doors, counters, and glass, as well as dust cases and keep the front of the store clean.
• Assist with promotions, including customer information, postings, and special sign displays.
• Stock and maintain counter, showcases, and cash/wraps in a neat and clean condition.
• Assist in training new cashiers and maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to organize and maintain cash handling procedures according to corporate policy.
• Ability to read, write, communicate verbally, and perform basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to pass a drug and criminal background check.
• Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
