Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Memphis Goodwill Incorporated. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a prompt and friendly manner.
  2. Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including dusting cases, cleaning front doors and counters, and restocking merchandise.
  4. Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up displays and rotating stock.
  5. Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

This is a fast-paced retail environment with varying temperatures. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
