Excela Health is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our healthcare team. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of patient care functions under the supervision of medical professionals. This position encompasses both direct patient interaction and essential administrative duties to facilitate the efficient operation of our medical practice.
Primary Duties:
- Provide both direct and indirect patient support in accordance with established healthcare protocols.
- Gather patient health information and execute treatments as instructed.
- Maintain precise and timely records of patient data.
- Assist in preparing patients for medical examinations and procedures.
- Relay pertinent information to the healthcare team effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or relevant experience is necessary.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience in an outpatient clinical environment is preferred.
Certifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification is advantageous.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Workplace Safety:
- Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory, including the use of appropriate protective equipment.
