Position Overview
Brethren Village Retirement Community is currently seeking a Concierge for part-time employment.
The Concierge team plays a vital role in delivering a range of services to Residents, ensuring a supportive and efficient environment. This position serves as the main point of contact for Residents and guests, consistently providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet visitors to the community; provide direction as needed.
- Assist Residents with various inquiries or refer them to appropriate personnel.
- Handle incoming phone calls and requests for information with promptness and courtesy.
- Utilize computer applications for tracking information and ensure accurate data entry.
- Manage the distribution of mail and packages on-site as required.
- Offer general administrative support for projects and events, collaborating with staff across departments.
- Part-time: Day shifts; typically 8 to 24 hours per week; schedule may vary weekly.
- Weekend and holiday availability is necessary (additional compensation provided for weekend shifts).
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Dependability and a commitment to maintaining attendance standards.
- Ability to read and complete online training independently.
- Commitment to safety and health standards, including wearing protective equipment as required.
- Professional and friendly interaction with colleagues and Residents.
- Exceptional service orientation.
- Alignment with Brethren Village's core values of caring, integrity, stewardship, and excellence.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in roles such as receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service specialist, or concierge.
- Comfortable engaging with visitors, Residents, and staff.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and manage challenging situations professionally.
- Proficient computer skills, including independent use of applications and databases; experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment and manage interruptions effectively.
- Responsible handling of petty cash.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work, particularly in data entry.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
- Capability to carry and deliver mail and packages as needed.
