Job Overview

Position Summary

TEKsystems is seeking skilled technicians to assist in the installation of conduit, low voltage wiring, and fire alarm systems. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, utilizing scissor lifts to reach approximately 40 feet. A successful candidate will need to pass a comprehensive drug screening and a thorough background check. Additionally, OSHA 10 training is a prerequisite before commencing work on-site.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

1. Low Voltage Wiring/Electrical Experience: A minimum of 1 year in low voltage structured cabling or electrical installation is required. Technicians will be responsible for mounting hardware, heat shrinking wires, and addressing minor construction challenges. Experience with conduit installation is advantageous.

2. Commercial Construction Background: At least 6 months of experience in commercial construction environments is necessary. Candidates must possess standard personal protective equipment (PPE), including leather steel-toed boots.

3. Cable Termination Expertise: A minimum of 2 years of experience in cable termination is required. This includes working with Cat5, Cat6, fiber optics, and terminating cables into panels, as well as mounting equipment.
