The Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Solutions Architect to join our growing Organon Data and Analytics competency. This role can be based in various locations.
We are seeking a forward-thinking leader to develop our data-related competency areas and solutions that support founders across our business functions.
- Develop and implement data architecture strategies and policies tailored to support business objectives.
- Implement robust data security and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Lead efforts to identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities within our data solutions.
- Forge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to define precise data requirements.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends in data solutions architecture.
Responsibilities
Strategic AI-Ready Data Solutions:
Develop and implement data architecture strategies and policies tailored to support business objectives, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Data Security & Compliance:
Implement robust data security and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive information within our data solutions architecture.
Innovative Solutions Leadership:
Lead efforts to identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities within our data solutions, driving increased value and adoption of data services and capabilities.
Collaborative Partnership:
Forge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to define precise data requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet organizational needs effectively.
Industry Awareness:
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends in data solutions architecture, incorporating emerging practices into architectural strategies.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide exemplary technical leadership and mentorship to the data & solutions architecture team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the realm of data solutions architecture.
Resource Management:
Effectively manage and prioritize activities within data solutions architecture, allocating resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and fulfill organizational objectives.
Strategic Alignment:
Participate actively in strategic planning initiatives to ensure seamless alignment of data solutions architecture efforts with overarching business goals, driving sustainable growth and success through data-driven initiatives.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/systems or equivalent experience.
7+ years of data & solution architecture experience, including pharmaceutical experience.
Deep understanding of database design and management, including experience with SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing.
Experience with data management, data modeling, data governance, and data integration technologies and tools.
Proven track-record of establishing and operationalizing solutions.
Proven track-record of stakeholder & vendor management.
Strong communication skills in English.
High level of accountability and self-drive.
Positive mindset to overcome challenges and problems.
Experience working in an agile IT environment is a plus.
Experience with data mesh/fabric principles is a plus.
