Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at RX2 Solutions. As a key member of our data management team, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with data stakeholders to develop and implement data governance policies and standards
  • Conduct data profiling and quality checks to identify potential issues and areas for improvement
  • Work with data governance leads and stewards to devise and popularize data principles and standards
  • Utilize data quality tools to examine data sets and identify trends and patterns
  • Customize data quality monitoring systems to align with project requirements
  • Document and maintain business rules governing data
  • Guarantee the integrity, completeness, and precision of data definitions through quality checks
  • Identify root causes of data discrepancies and coordinate with data stewards for resolution
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in data management, integration, governance, and/or quality
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight, showcasing self-motivation
  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing and interpreting complex database structures
  • Strong proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Solid foundation in relational database design concepts
  • Intermediate skills in SQL
  • Competence in translating business requirements into data and analytical specifications

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Agile project management methodologies, practical knowledge of Python, Tableau, or similar analytical tools, and hands-on experience with Data Governance tools.
