Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Podiatrist to join our team. As a Podiatrist, you will provide quality patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. You will perform specific duties within your approved scope of practice, including diagnosing and treating foot and ankle disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosing and treating foot and ankle disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Perform specific duties within your approved scope of practice
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in podiatry
Requirements
  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Must have a degree as a doctor of podiatric medicine or its equivalent from a school of podiatric medicine approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
  • Must have completed, or currently be completing, residency training or its equivalent in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Must hold a full and unrestricted license to practice podiatry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English
Working Conditions

The Podiatrist will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to a diverse patient population. The position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. The Podiatrist may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures.
