Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care through a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach. This position requires a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to assess, treat, and prevent patient illness and disease.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the effectiveness of the healthcare team by identifying patient care issues and providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining and updating medical histories.
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with infection-control policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner or related field.
  • Advanced Clinical Skills and Physiological Knowledge.
  • 1-2 years of GI experience preferred.
