About the Role

This Clinical Nurse Coordinator Lead will serve as the primary decision maker for clinical and managerial operations and workflow during a given shift.

As a Registered Nurse, you may assume care responsibilities for patients on the unit if needed.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care, assess patient needs, and prioritize interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring seamless transitions between shifts and teams.
  • Evaluate and improve nursing care services, operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Assume leadership responsibility within the unit, supporting the RN manager/director in direct supervision, education, coaching, payroll editing, annual performance reviews, and employee recognition.
  • Rotate designated responsibilities within core areas: Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Preparedness; Patient Experience; Employee Engagement, Physician Satisfaction, and Culture; Fiscal Responsibility; Staff Development.
Requirements
  • 1+ year experience in healthcare
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred)
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or an active compact license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
