We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Leader who will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and distribution operations at our site. This position entails guiding, directing, and managing the operational workforce, ensuring excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People through the implementation of effective systems and processes. This role is fully on-site.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Operations Leader:

  • Develop and nurture a high-performing team through exemplary leadership and training, embodying the traits of an ideal team player: Humble, Hungry, Smart, and Servant Leadership.
  • Promote a Safety-First Culture; lead safety enhancement initiatives and support the VPP safety system and certification process.
  • Drive the execution of continuous improvement initiatives to foster sustainable transformation on-site.
  • Support operational leadership initiatives, aligning with the operational roadmap, and implement best practices related to technology and automation.
  • Oversee capital projects and plans that address both operational and strategic needs.
  • Foster a culture of 'zero defects' through effective quality systems and ISO standards, ensuring successful management of ISO audits.
  • Design and implement maintenance systems to achieve top-tier equipment reliability and capability.
  • Manage variable costs by developing strategies that allow for cost flexibility based on demand, aiming for targeted variable unit costs.
  • Champion 'customer excellence' through superior delivery performance, collaborating with the Supply Chain Manager to develop effective S&OP plans.
  • Assist with additional initiatives and requirements as needed.

Qualifications for the Manufacturing Operations Leader:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in leading manufacturing operations.
  • More than 3 years of experience in facilitating continuous improvement using lean methodologies.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and data-driven.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring team members.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to analyze data to evaluate systems and processes, initiating changes for improvement.
  • Skilled in decision-making, bringing together the right people and information for timely resolutions.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
