Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves the meticulous inspection and packaging of plastic containers, ensuring that production standards are consistently met. You will be responsible for maintaining supply levels and the operational condition of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of finished plastic products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure that all necessary supplies are adequately stocked and maintained at the machines to facilitate uninterrupted production.
  • Accurately pack finished products in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Report any operational issues to the Team Leader or Technician promptly.
  • Complete and maintain production documentation as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Work Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift: 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
  • Overtime opportunities available, though not mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a packaging role is preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Capability to identify and respond to production-related issues, including color variations and minor defects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional pushing or pulling with up to 50 lbs. of force.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, or squat as needed.
  • Frequent use of hands for gripping, pinching, and handling.
  • Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently throughout the shift.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is representative of typical conditions encountered while performing essential job functions.
  • Noise levels do not require hearing protection.
  • Safety glasses and steel-toed boots are not mandatory; however, proper attire including tied shoes, long pants, lab coats, and hair nets is required.
