Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year in Morgan, MN. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and a strong commitment to supporting students in achieving their academic and social goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student development.
  • Employ a variety of teaching techniques and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state Special Education Teaching License.
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
