Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities, ensuring inclusive learning environments.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student development and achievement.
  • Employ diverse teaching techniques and materials to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records, preparing reports as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and participation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state Special Education Teaching License.
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
