Job Title: Waterpark Assistant Director

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waterpark Assistant Director to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our waterpark, providing exceptional guest experiences, and contributing to the overall success of our resort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Waterpark Director in scheduling, training, and staffing of waterpark operations
  • Ensure compliance with state aquatic code and regulations
  • Contribute to the overall safety of guests and staff
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an operational floor supervisory role, preferably in a large waterpark or recreational facility
  • Previous lifeguard experience and extensive knowledge of leisure activities, commercial recreation, and/or large waterpark operations
  • Significant experience with guest services and conflict resolution
  • Experience with scheduling and managing labor budgets
  • Experience with hiring and retention initiatives
  • Basic knowledge of human resource law and function
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to pass Kalahari's lifeguard certification
  • Frequent movement throughout the waterpark
  • Ability to walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Requirements:
  • Certified Pool Operator Certification
  • P&L Statement knowledge
