We are inviting you to apply for our open Senior Waterpark Manager role. In this role, your focus will be to ensure safety, enhance sales, streamline operations, all while elevating guest satisfaction. This pivotal role oversees the entirety of Waterpark Operations in the absence of the Waterpark Director.

In addition, some of your responsibilities will include managing guest surveys and complaints, coordinating distribution to managers and escalating severe issues. You will open and close the park when scheduled and test rides for the day. You will be part of the hiring process and coach staff when needed. You’ll also serve as a mentor to those early in their career. Your background must include an emphasis on Aquatic Training. 

To perform well in the position, you:

Must be able to speak and understand English. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by guests, associates, supervisors, department heads and senior management. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions. Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules, and the ability to maintain confidential information. Would be well-organized and have the ability to lead and direct people. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing. Have great physical endurance. Have computer skills such as Word and Excel are required.  Work Environment This job operates in an active and loud environment. Frequent changes in the environment temperature. Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Must be able to frequently move throughout the waterpark. Must be able to walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.  Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The noise level in the work environment is usually high. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, with various work hours and days, based on business needs. This position regularly requires evening and weekend work. This is an exempt position.

We do require that you have a fair amount of education and training:

Knowledge of Waterpark operations, at least 3 years of experience in operations and management of a large aquatic facility.

A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel, waterpark, or related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience.

SGE Instructor Certification, Red Cross Certified Instructor, or Ellis instructor Certification status required. Certified Pool Operator Certification preferred.
