Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Sanitation and Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring a pristine, secure, and welcoming atmosphere in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute comprehensive floor and carpet maintenance.
2. Efficiently collect and dispose of waste and soiled linens.
3. Safely manage the collection, storage, and transportation of biohazardous materials.
4. Oversee the ordering, distribution, and inventory management of clean linens.
5. Maintain adequate supplies and equipment to fulfill departmental requirements.

Work Environment:
Utilize appropriate work practices tailored to various patient demographics, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and psychiatric care patients.

Communication Skills:
Proficiency in English is essential to effectively perform the core functions of this role.

Technical Skills:
Familiarity with standard office machinery (e.g., calculators, fax machines, photocopiers) and computer software (e.g., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, email) is required.

Computer Proficiency:
Competence in Windows operating systems, including keyboarding and mouse navigation for tasks such as selecting items, utilizing drop-down menus, and managing files, is necessary within the initial weeks of employment.

Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as assigned while adhering to Palomar Health's policies, procedures, and standards.
