Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Early Learning Program Director to lead our Early Learning Center in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut region. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a renowned organization like The Village for Families & Children, where you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and leadership of the program.

Responsibilities
  1. Program Leadership: Provides strategic leadership and direction to the program, ensuring it aligns with our organization's mission and goals.
  2. Staff Supervision: Offers weekly supervision to all staff assigned in the early learning center, providing guidance and support to help them excel in their roles.
  3. Client Services: Coordinates the delivery of high-quality services to clients, working closely with collateral agencies to ensure seamless transition and discharge planning.
  4. Operational Administration: Serves as the operational administrator of the program, overseeing business leadership, facilities management, and other key functions.
  5. Culture and Competence: Fosters a culture of cultural competence, ensuring that all staff provide culturally responsive services to clients and families.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Ensures timely documentation and reporting of program activities, census, and other critical data.
Requirements
  1. Education: Master's degree in early childhood or a related field, with a state-issued education administrator or director credential a plus.
  2. Experience: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, with experience in early childhood education and leadership.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage stress and respond to emergencies effectively.
