The incumbent is entrusted with comprehensive authority to manage the HTM program, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer. This role is pivotal in providing expert healthcare technology services across clinical and administrative sectors.

Key Duties Include:
1. Conducting thorough assessments of healthcare technology, including cost analysis for equipment lifecycle and acquisition support.
2. Managing maintenance service contracts and providing training while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission (TJC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
3. Supervising a team of technical professionals, including Healthcare Technology Engineers and Biomedical Equipment Support Specialists, while developing performance standards and evaluations.

Financial Management:
The role involves overseeing budget resources allocated for quality assurance and maintenance activities, ensuring the medical equipment inventory is readily available for patient care.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Advising clinical and administrative staff on medical engineering technology, ensuring the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
- Acting as a subject matter expert in biomedical engineering, supporting specialized clinical technology, including training and quality assurance.
- Evaluating patient safety features of electrical equipment and overseeing the patient electrical safety program.

Professional Development:
The incumbent will also ensure the provision of continuing education programs for staff regarding medical instrumentation principles and applications.

Work Schedule:
This position follows a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with no telework options available.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, proficient in English, and possess a relevant engineering degree or certification as a Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE). Experience in a healthcare setting is essential.

Note:
This position requires participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
