Driller Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Driller Assistant to join our team at Universal Engineering Sciences. As a Driller Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our in-house drilling department and contributing to the success of our geotechnical drilling projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist driller with operating support equipment such as vehicles, pumps, drill tooling, and other equipment
Safely assist driller in performing routine drilling, sampling, and well installation tasks
Work outdoor year-round within a two or three-person team
Solve problems and work productively in a team environment
Perform physical labor, shoveling drilling debris, and moving drill tooling and materials using proper lifting techniques
Acquire and maintain any required certifications and training
Cross train on construction material testing as workload allows

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
18 years of age or older
Must be able to meet the physical labor demands of the job, including lifting up to 80 lbs, standing for long periods of time, kneeling, crawling, balance, and use hands to handle tools and controls
Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions
Must be willing to travel
