Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Critical Care Nursing Specialist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing services, acting as a patient advocate to ensure an exceptional healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in health status.
  • Execute procedures or other tasks as directed by the medical team.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient's medical records in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical patient care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse.
  • Must possess an Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
