As a Respiratory Therapist at Christus Health, you will play a critical role in the pulmonary care of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a hospital setting. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans under the direction of a physician.
- Conduct various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures, including airway management, ventilator management, and oxygen delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate and complete documentation.
- Assist with emergency response situations, including Code Blue and White responses.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
- 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in critical care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This is a per diem, as-needed position with a work schedule of 7PM - 7AM.
