Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Circuit Board Specialist to support the US Navy in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and assembly, with experience in operating PCB fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for PCB fabrication and assembly efforts, including operation of all PCB fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance equipment.
  • Support the procurement of PCB-related parts, supplies, and materials required to support the activities described herein.
  • Develop and evaluate new and existing PCB processing methods, including corresponding technical documentation and standards.
  • Provide design verification for multi-layer PCBs in accordance with IPC Standards and deliver a complete design disclosure data package to meet industry specs and standards.
  • Assist in the technical assessments of quality and reliability, including inspection, testing, and repair.
  • Provide comprehensive fabrication support, including general manufacturing processing, imaging, wet processing, lamination, drilling, routing, plating, solder mask, quality assurance, CAD/CAM, and other panel operations required to deliver PCB products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years or more experience; Master's degree and three (3) years related experience.
  • Must be able to pass CPR and AED courses to achieve certification.
  • Experience with some or all of the following machines: Auto Titrators; Cyclic Voltammetry; Ultraviolet-visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS); Chemical-based equipment.
  • Comfortable working with strong chemicals on a daily basis.
  • Experience with chemical analysis, extensive knowledge of analysis techniques to support novel processes, and act as the Alternate Hazmat Coordinator (Government-provided training).
  • Travel may be required with 2-3 day notice to multiple locations 2-3 times per year.
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
