As a Tax Associate, you will provide administrative support for various areas of indirect tax compliance, including unclaimed property filing, exemption certificate process, and sku research. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for the sales tax exemption certificate process, including reviewing, filing, and scanning sales tax exemption certificates, data entry, customer service, and research. * Timely provide compliant internal exemption certificates to vendors. * Research new skus daily and map to correct Vertex Product Code to ensure appropriate taxability at the POS. * Assist employees and vendors on unclaimed property due diligence letters inquiries. * Assist Compliance team with Unclaimed Property filings. * Assist Compliance team with inquiries from internal and external customers regarding indirect tax issues. * Assist with general tax compliance support, including contacting customers, data entry, report running, printing, scanning, and faxing documents. * Work on special projects as directed, including coordination/collection of information. Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED and minimum one year of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required. * Strong PC skills, including MS Office. * Excellent research and writing skills. * Excellent organizational skills with attention to details. * Critical thinker and a high degree of enthusiasm with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and multi-task. * Self-motivated, engaged by a fast-paced environment, and handling challenges and tight deadlines with ease. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. Desired Qualifications: * Experience with large business data sets.
